First Look: Middle West Spirits Distillery Expansion

Middle West Spirits has officially re-opened their Short North distillery after completing a major upgrade project. New distillation equipment has allowed the company to increase capacity, diversify their product lineup and provide the ability to manufacture alcohol for other brands.

In addition to the new five-story equipment housing expansion, the distillery at 1230 Courtland Avenue also houses tasting and touring spaces and an in-house shop. A full service restaurant is also still in the works — which is planned to launch before the end of the year.

Middle West Spirits plans to resume tasting and touring events in mid-September.
