There’s a new spot to sip on cocktails and take in skyline views. Lumin Sky Bar & Kitchen is now open at the AC Hotel Downtown, 517 Park St.
The tapas-focused menu includes small plates like empanadas, harissa hummus, heirloom tomatoes & burrata, grilled prawns, crispy calamari and more. Toasts and charcuterie boards round out the selection.
A Signature Gin & Tonic with Hendrick’s gin, Fever Tree Mediterranean tonic, cucumber peel, lemon and star anise highlights the cocktail menu, which also includes other classics with a twist. The bar also pours draft beers and a selection of wines.
Lumin Sky Bar & Kitchen is joined on the eighth floor of the 160-room hotel by 2,400 square feet of event space featuring floor-to-ceiling windows and sweeping city views.
The new hotel is owned in part by Chris Corso of OneHospitality (formerly Corso Ventures). Putting the operator back on Park Street, OneHospitality will open four yet-to-be announced concepts on the ground floor of the building some time in 2022. Corso partnered with developer Continental Real Estate and hotel operator Concord Hospitality on the project.
“Park Street has always been an important area to me, hosting several previous entertainment venues and the Corso Ventures offices for many years,” Corso said in a press release. “It is an ideal location for a world-class brand like an AC Marriott and I couldn’t have selected better partners than Continental and Concord. Whether guests are coming in for business, a sporting event or a concert, it will be the perfect hotel for a one-night stay or a long weekend. We will take this once-dead street and turn it into one of the most exciting areas in the state.”
Lumin Sky Bar & Kitchen is open from 4 – 10 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and 4 – 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
