Columbus institution Katzinger’s Delicatessen is set to open its second stand-alone location in its nearly 35-year history. Katzinger’s Dublin opens at 7160 Muirfield Dr. on Monday August, 19.
Patrons of the new Dublin location will find their favorites from Katzinger’s signature menu, as well as a few new items for the dinnertime crowd. Katzinger’s President Tim Rollins says they’ll add a small menu of entrees available in the late afternoon and evening, including a hot brown, roasted chicken, beef stroganoff and chicken pot pie. Beer and wine will be available as well.
The new location will trade deli-counter ordering, for full-service sit down with seating for 72.
“Here we wanted to do table service so that we’d have wait staff with a menu that the guests could take their time to get familiar with,” Rollins says. “For folks that haven’t been to Katzinger’s before there’s almost 60 sandwiches on the menu board. It can be a little overwhelming.”
Rollins looks forward to welcoming diners new and seasoned to the Dublin location. He says they had a lot of requests from customers to open a location closer to where they live, but also saw a gap in this area of Dublin for more locally-owned dining options.
Katzinger’s Dublin will be open Monday – Friday, 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.
