First Look: Forno Kitchen + Bar

Forno Kitchen + Bar, located at 721 North High Street, has opened its doors. Sister restaurant of popular watering hole Short North Pint House, Forno’s food is cooked in a stone-fired oven (hence the name, which translates to ‘oven’ in Italian), with the menu including an array of pizzas, small plates, and and a heavily-stocked drink menu.

The restaurant boasts more space than expected from the outside, housing two full bars (the smaller made of beautiful white marble) and a decent amount of dining space. Two semi-private dining spaces flank the back of each bar, with larger tables lining the restaurant’s outside edges. An additional clump of tables are available in the back, secluded from the hustle and bustle of the bars.

    Forno Kitchen + Bar is open 3 p.m. – midnight Monday through Thursday, 1 p.m. – 1 a.m. Fridays, 11 a.m. – 1 a.m. Saturdays, and 11 a.m. – midnight on Sundays.
