Described by co-owner Andrew Losinske as a cocktail lounge, Duecento’s light effects, dance music, DJ booth and dance floor turned on more of a night club vibe during the bar’s soft opening on Friday. Local mixologist and entrepreneur Christina Basham, who implemented and is helping Duecento staff execute their cocktail program, says the bar offers a different experience for people going out in the Italian Village neighborhood.

Duecento will open for four days of the week, Wednesday through Saturday, from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. Hours and days will expand in the next few months, and a food menu is expected by spring.
