The owners of BBR and Dahlia have taken over the former Pies & Pints space in the Short North. Peerless Management Group (PMG) will open a high-end restaurant and bar, Fireproof, in the century old Fireproof building later this summer.

Few details have been released, but PMG’s Adam Solomon says “it’s a small plate concept, it’s very restaurant driven, lots of cocktails, lots of wine.”

Pies & Pints vacated the spot at 1026 N. High St. last August after a three-year run. According to a press release, PMG plans to completely transform the historic space, offering roughly 4,500 square feet, into a “social and interactive cocktail lounge.”

More details will be released in the next few months.
