Feeding Students and Helping Neighbors This Summer

Did you know only 1 in 6 children who qualify for free or reduced lunches during the school year have access to meals during the summer?

In 2018, Go Lunch Columbus, Columbus Recreation and Parks Department Summer Food Program, served more than 500,000 meals at over 230 Columbus locations to students and others who have limited options for balanced meals during the summer months to help with this statistic.⠀

Last week, a countywide cohort of many partners met at to prepare for the coming season, including:

#GoLunchCbus programming kicks off in early June, and is accessible at community centers & many other locations in neighborhoods around central Ohio. Meals are available to anyone between the ages of 1–18—and for anyone aged 18-21 who have been determined by a state or local public educational agency to be mentally or physically disabled & involved in an independent education program
