After 12 years of service, David Wible will be stepping down from his role as Executive Director at The North Market on January 15th.

“For me, 12 years and a long list of accomplishments is more than I could have every hoped for,” said Wible. “For a new leader, there is a strong foundation and a broad horizon of opportunities to move our public market, farmers’ market and local foods initiatives forward.”

Under Wible’s leadership, the Market has grown as both a local community landmark as well as a model for public markets across the country. Since 2000, total Market sales have more than doubled, the Market serves over 1 million visitors annually, and many of the individual Market vendors are regularly ranked as some of the best food and experience providers in the region.

“Under David’s leadership, our brand is strong and the Market’s awareness continues to grow,” said North Market board president Matthew Hall.”High profile events and promotions drive traffic, sales and shopper loyalty. His creation of the Market’s merchant and grower-based branding initiative provides a distinct focus on our strength as a community of unique individuals and exceptional experts.”

The North Market Board Executive Committee will begin a search for a new Executive Director.
