A new restaurant has landed in Worthington. Serving up Nepali, Tibetan and Indian cuisines, Everest Cuisine opened last week in the spot once taken by A Taste of Vietnam, 652 N. High St. Co-owner Sandeep Sing, a resident of Lewis Center, says it’ll offer new tastes to the people of Columbus.
“There was not any other restaurant like us,” Singh says, “and we bring something new for Columbus, so people are liking it. It’s something new they can try which is healthy for them, fresh food, and new taste.”
The Everest menu offers a blend of dishes, from India’s samosas and bhajis, to Nepal’s bhatma sadeko, to Tibet’s momos and thukpas. It’s an extensive list of items, including appetizers, soups, and salads, as well as a variety of chicken, pork, egg, fish, goat and vegetarian specialties.
The menu is available for lunch and dinner, and Everest caters as well. Guests can have gatherings in the restaurant’s party hall, which has its own bar.
The restaurant is open seven days a week. On Monday through Thursday, Everest is open from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and from 4:30 to 9:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, they’re open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and on Sunday they’re open from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
