In this class, you will be introduced to basic silver working and silver soldering skills as you create a beautiful, classic necklace. Each student will create and solder a sterling silver ring that may be enhanced with the hammer textures of your choice. You will learn hammer texturing, metal forming, filing/shaping, basic torch soldering, different finishing techniques and patinas.
The necklace will be finished with a sterling silver chain ready to wear home or to give as a gift.
All materials, tools, and safety glasses will be provided for this workshop. Good eyesight and hand dexterity are a must. Please bring any eyeglasses needed for up close work and wear closed toed shoes for your safety.
This workshop is open to any student ages 16+.
Each date of this workshop has a max of 8 students.
This workshop is located in our NEW studio, located at 1365 Grandview Avenue, directly behind Figlio.
Our studio is located only a block away from our retail shop, so you can park once to both shop and take your workshop!
