Join us for a weekend of natural history programming and learn more about the plants and animals that call Ohio home.

Sat., Jan. 4
How Climate Has Shaped Ohio’s Natural Environment • 12:30–1 p.m.
Join Aaron Wilson, Byrd Center Research Scientist, to learn how diverse climate periods have affected Ohio’s natural environment.

Bird Conservation at the Flip of a Switch? • 2–2:30 p.m.
Matthew Shumar of the Ohio Bird Conservation Initiative will highlight efforts that can make our cities safer for migratory birds.

Bird Feeding 101 • 2:30–3 p.m.
Want to do some bird watching at home? Tom Sheley from Wild Birds Unlimited will guide you through getting started or improving your existing setup.

Sun., Jan. 5
Natural Hissstory with Shawnee State Park • 1 p.m.
Join naturalist Jenny Richards from Shawnee State Park and a few of her snake friends for a hands-on, family-friendly experience.

Wild Canids of North America • 2 p.m.
Ironwood Wolves will teach you about wolves, coyotes and foxes! We’ll separate fact from fiction, plus you can see a live fox!

Worms! with Franklin Park Conservatory • Ongoing
Learn about Mother Nature’s best recyclers—worms! Meet these amazing creatures firsthand and see how they affect your garden and our world for the better.

Included in general admission. Free parking. Plaza Cafe is open 11 a.m.–2 p.m. every day.
