Update 3/12/2020
We’ve been tracking developments regarding coronavirus (COVID-19), and have made the difficult decision to temporarily scale back our programming. We hope normal programming will resume Monday, March 30. This aligns with The Ohio State University’s actions to suspend all face-to-face instruction during this period.

This was not an easy decision and one not made lightly—we are very much in uncharted waters in many respects—but I feel it best serves the safety and well-being of our staff, patrons, and visiting artists.

As of now:

Due to travel restrictions, all Performing Arts events through the spring have been postponed, with plans to reschedule as many as possible. We will work to notify ticket buyers and other key groups about these changes.
Education events through March 29, including On Pause, walk-in tours, and Wex Lab, are canceled.
Film/Video programming through March 29 is canceled. The program with Annie Atkins planned for March 28 will be rescheduled for a TBD date in June.
La Neve’s performance in the galleries scheduled for this Thursday has been canceled.
The Wex’s exhibition galleries and Store will remain open, though with limited hours (closing at 6 PM), and we will be monitoring how the situation evolves to ensure that this continues to be the best course of action.
If you have purchased tickets in advance for any of the events noted above, we will be in touch with you via email regarding refund options. If you have any questions, please contact our Patron Services desk at 614-292-3535.

The health, safety and well-being of our guests and supporters are of the highest importance to us and we appreciate your patience, flexibility, and understanding during this particular moment.

(Sans toit ni loi, Agnès Varda, 1985)
Preceded by Ulysse (Agnès Varda, 1982)

Sandrine Bonnaire won the César Award for Best Actress (the French equivalent of the Oscars) for her searing portrayal of the defiant drifter Mona, found frozen to death in a ditch at the beginning of Vagabond. Varda then pieces together Mona’s story through flashbacks told by those who encountered her (played by a largely nonprofessional cast), producing a splintered portrait of an enigmatic woman. One of the essential films of the 1980s. (105 mins., DCP)

The captivating short Ulysse sees Varda reexamining a photo she took three decades earlier, along with its mysterious subjects, producing a range of thoughts on memory, history, and time. (21 mins., DCP)
