Turing Fest 2020

July 18, 2020 12:00 am

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every day that begins at 12:00 am, repeating until July 19, 2020 12:00 am

Sidestage Collective is back with our first virtual festival; Turing Fest!

Over the course of two days, we will be sharing the sounds of 15 talented underground producers and DJs, varying in style from Wave to Space Bass to Jersey Club, with the goal of benefiting the Black Lives Matter national non-profit and their continued fight for social justice and equal rights.

To quote Alan Turing, the father of theoretical computing and artificial intelligence for whom this festival was named after; “we can only see a short distance ahead, but we can see plenty there that needs to be done.”

Turing Fest is a direct reaction to the increasingly charged social and political climate that we all exist in, where public health and racial equality have become divisive political issues rather than obvious unifiers and our goal to bring people together over art and sound.

When we see injustice before us, our reaction is to get loud about it, and this is the best way we know how.

We hope you will join us on July 18th-19th for two nights of diverse electronic stylings and art for the sake of social change.
