The bicycling event known as TOSRV (Tour of the Scioto River Valley) will start for the 58th consecutive year on Saturday, May 18, with hundreds of riders who will be participating in the longest-running biking event in the nation. New options this year include a reverse route, from Portsmouth to Canal Winchester, a “hop-back” route with a family-friendly shorter distance, and a gravel ride in the hills of the Shawnee Forest. The ride began in 1962 as a father-son adventure between Columbus and Portsmouth and has continued to be a rite of spring among cyclists in Ohio and surrounding states.
The post-party will be at DogTap Columbus/Brewdog on 96 Gender Rd. in Canal Winchester. Jeni’s Ice Cream will be served to all who return on day two and all are invited to celebrate the achievements of those that ride TOSRV!
