Join Speak Easy at Wild Goose Creative for TRUE STORIES, TOLD LIVE, on Thursday, December 6, 2018. December’s theme is TAKE IT BACK! –Stories of bad gifts and other things we didn’t ask for.
A little about Speak Easy:
We are the longest running open mic storytelling event in Columbus, Ohio, held the first Thursday of every month at Wild Goose Creative, 2491 Summit Street. We welcome you to come and listen, come and tell – or both!
If you would like to participate in the event by telling a 5-7 minute story on stage (don’t doubt yourself – you’d be great!), please arrive at least 20 minutes early sign up. We take the first 10 tellers on the signup sheet.
Each month features a different theme. December’s is “TAKE IT BACK! –Stories of bad gifts and other things we didn’t ask for.” Notes are OK, but we prefer stories told instead of read, to maintain that authentic “Speak Easy” connection between teller and audience. Trust us, you’ll do just fine!
Don’t forget to sign up for our e-newsletter for reminders each month of the theme. You can do this in person at a Speak Easy event or the signup tab on our website, www.speakeasycbus.org.
The event is $5 at the door (cards accepted, cash preferred). Bring a drink, bring a friend, bring whatever you’ve got.
We look forward to seeing you there!
