|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 6:30 pm on Thursday, repeating until March 26, 2020 12:00 am

Discover the art of Ukrainian Pysanky through our annual classes! Artist and educator Valerie Hinterschied will lead you in creating these intricate eggs using beeswax and a variety of rich, colored dyes in a layered, batik-like process. Learn this age-old art form, handed down over generations.

We have classes for families and classes for adults and teens. Please note: we’ll be working with hot wax and an open flame, so children must be at least 6 years old and accompanied by an adult to take the family class. We ask no more than two children per each registered adult.

Class fee: Adults/Teens: $20
Children ages 6-12: $10

All supplies are provided.

Adult & Child Classes: Saturday, March 14 at 10am-noon or 1:00-3:00pm

Adult Classes: Thursday, March 19, 6:30-8:30pm or Thursday, March 26, 6:30-8:30pm.
