Palmas – Tropical Escape will celebrate its GRAND Opening, Friday, February 21, 2020 at 4:00 P.M. and Saturday with a Carnaval Celebration and $5 Margaritas (Well). Palmas is located at 46 N. High St. in the heart of the Uptown District. “Palmas is offering something no other downtown venue offers, the sense of being in the tropics.” says D’Angelo.
Palmas’ menu will feature the diversity of “Tropical” cuisine. The bistro menu is to include a wide variety of dishes unique to the Caribbean, and South and Central America.
“Palmas gives our guests the opportunity to escape the hustle of city life and retreat “beachside”; it’s not your neighborhood bar, it’s your favorite bar”, said D’Angelo.
Get ready to DANCE! The rhythm of Latin music from musical groups and DJ’s will offer the perfect setting for a night on the town. D’Angelo said that Palmas will host themed nights, dance lessons, wine tastings, signature cocktails, and more.
The bar & bistro incorporate a clean and sophisticated style that blends a modern industrial flair with touches of tradition and the simplicity of days gone by. “I wanted to create a space that would take our guests to the beach, here, in Columbus,” said Luis Falcón of Via Pellegrino, a member of the D’Angelo family, and a local designer. Falcón designed the space, logo, and other graphic elements for Palmas.
From the tropical décor inspired by the Caribbean, to aromas that take your mind out to the beach, this experience is meant to be the first of its kind in Columbus, Ohio. Beach…PLEASE!
