24 hour horror marathon halloween events in columbus

SHOCK AROUND THE CLOCK, the 11th Annual Ohio 24-Hour Horror Marathon (Noon, Saturday October 12, 2019 until Noon, Sunday October 13, 2019 at the Drexel Theatre)! We’re pleased to welcome MICHAEL GORNICK (Director of Photography for CREEPSHOW, DAWN OF THE DEAD, DAY OF THE DEAD, and more) as this year’s Guest of Honor!

In addition to crafting some of the most indelible cinematic images in horror film history, Michael also worked on the editing and sound design of several George Romero classics, was an associate producer on Mick Garris’s TV mini-series of Stephen King’s THE STAND, and directed episodes of TALES FROM THE DARKSIDE. And he helped to oversee the recent 4K restoration of CREEPSHOW and the upcoming 4K restorations of DAWN OF THE DEAD and MARTIN. Needless to say, he’s had quite the career, and has a ton of fascinating stories about his time in the film world.

Michael will be on hand October 12th to introduce several of his films, have a Q+A with the audience, and hold a meet and greet in the lobby afterward (no charge for autographs and pictures.) We’ll be announcing the full SHOCK AROUND THE CLOCK lineup at SHOCK-O-RAMA on August 10th, but we wanted to give you the chance to buy your tickets for October early.

Tickets for SHOCK-O-RAMA are $45 in advance, $50 at the door, and are on sale at the Drexel box office (2254 E. Main St.), Laughing Ogre Comics (4258 N. High St.-CASH ONLY). NOTE: this spring’s Science Fiction Marathon SOLD OUT ONE MONTH IN ADVANCE, so don’t delay in procuring your spot for both events!
