No Place Gallery Opening Day

April 10

No Place Gallery has a new location. Photo courtesy No Place Gallery.

No Place Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of its new location at 1 E Gay St. Situated at the intersection of Gay St. and South High St., with a ground floor location and street level display windows, No Place Gallery will infuse this developing part of downtown Columbus with its dynamic exhibitions featuring raising stars in the contemporary art world. Led by gallery owner James McDevitt-Stredney, No Place Gallery brings artists from across the country and internationally to Central Ohio. Many of the artists shown at No Place are rising stars in contemporary art and are recognized and celebrated across the contemporary art spectrum, making No Place Gallery the premier contemporary art gallery in Central Ohio.

To spark the curiosity of its neighbors, No Place Gallery has wrapped its street facing windows with an installation by Columbus artist, Tyler Davis. Titled, “CELLZ PT. 1 and CELLZ PT. 2 (RIP LISA LOPES)”, Davis’ mural is an enlarged picture of his grandmother’s watchful gaze and is in response to the social justice movement during the summer of 2021. On April 10, Tyler’s “CELLZ” series will come down, to reveal, No Place Gallery’s inaugural exhibition, “The Devil’s Bathtub”, a group show featuring Jenna Beasley, Hyun Jung Jun, Ben Willis, Chloe West, Martin Hugo, Tyler Macko, Ross Caliendo, Ben Quinn, Jon Young, Paul Simmons and Nicholas Sullivan.

No Place Gallery will open to the public starting April 10, 2021.
