The season will open October 3rd with the 50th anniversary tour of Jesus Christ Superstar. Told from Judas Iscariot’s point of view, the musical explores the relationships of those close to Jesus, told through an iconic 1970s rock score.

In social media posts from Broadway in Columbus leading up to the reveal, what many people said they enjoy most about attending Broadway shows are the memories they make and share with those they attend with.

Moulin Rouge! The Musical will headline the season, opening at the beginning of 2024. Reviews of the North American Tour in Chicago called the performance a “sexy fete of decadence” of “visual excess.” Baz Luhrmann, creator of the original movie, has been quoted as saying, “This new theatrical production absolutely honors the movie, but finds a new life that is exciting and vital for this audience in this time. What was so uplifting was that in the end, audiences connected with the show in such an electrifying way.” Fans of the movie will be in for a whole new experience.

More rock ‘n’ roll comes to the stage with TINA – The Tina Turner Musical in May. You’ll get a whodunnit mystery with Clue, the ground-breaking musical Company, and the return of feel-good favorites.

The Confluence Cast: A City of Doers

As Columbusites, we examine the evolution and identity of the city from a singular point of view. That’s not a bad thing, but an outsider’s perspective is always helpful. Today, we hear from Mark Snyder, a former Columbus resident whose journey through writing and theater has woven a rich tapestry of experiences both in and out of Ohio’s capital city. Mark reflects on the essence of Columbus — the kindness, scrappiness, and the collaborative spirit that defines its culture. He shares his journey of rediscovery in a city that continues to evolve and challenge its own identity.
