MLK Day Open House Celebration

January 17 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Join us as we explore the impact of the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King. This annual community event is an excellent opportunity for children, families, and friends to enjoy dance, music, spoken word theatre performances. The event is also a great opportunity for visitors of all ages to learn about the civil rights movement, participate in art activities, view the art exhibition, and meet new friends.
There will be free parking. Don’t miss out on giveaway prizes as well!

Senator Hearcel Craig will serve as the keynote speaker for the MLK Day Open House Celebration. Hearcel F. Craig brings a strong background of public service to the Statehouse as he serves in his first term as state Senator following two two-year terms as state Representative. He also serves as Assistant Minority Whip for the Ohio Senate Democratic Caucus.

Program support is provided by Nationwide, Homage, Greater Columbus Arts Council, Park National Bank, NBC 4, Urban One and in partnership with the Ohio History Connection.

Operating support is provided by the Columbus Foundation, Ohio Arts Council and the City of Columbus.
