Maifest is the spring’s answer to Fall’s Oktoberfest. In the old country, when the crops were planted, the people would throw a spring festival to celebrate their work and to bring good luck on the crops. A Mayqueen was crowned, kids danced around the Maypole, and people sang songs over their delicious wine and beers. We have reinvigorated the spirit of the Fest, and we believe everyone is worthy of a fun, safe, and merry Maifest.
During the day, you’ll enjoy: Live Music, Traditional Festival Food, German Beer and Locally Produced German Wine, and Drinking Games like Nageln and Stein Holding! There will also be raffles of awesome prizes like gift cards to Valter’s and other German/Austrian restaurants, a Maifest Beer Stein, and some of Harry’s Famous Cheesecakes! And of course, there will be traditional Maifest standards like a Maibaum (maypole) and someone will be crowned the Mayqueen!
The party starts at 11am! Prost!
