Franklin County LOSS Semicolon Tattoo Fundraiser
Bringing Local Attention to National Suicide Prevention Week

Columbus, Ohio – During the week of September 9-15, National Suicide Prevention Week, Franklin County Local Outreach to Suicide Survivors (LOSS) is hosting a Semicolon Tattoo fundraiser at several locations throughout Columbus.

The semicolon tattoo represents a symbol of hope for people personally impacted by suicide. For many people it is a conversation starter that invites the opportunity to share their suicide or mental illness story with others, thus increasing awareness and reducing stigma.

“Franklin County LOSS provides a community of hope to those who have lost someone to suicide,” said LOSS Executive Director Denise Meine-Graham. “This event is a way to bring awareness to suicide prevention and postvention, and to remember those we have lost.

Price is $40 for a black ink tattoo about the size of a silver dollar of any semicolon design.
