Library to share proposed design of new Gahanna Branch in virtual meeting

January 14 @ 5:30 pm

Event Navigation

After conducting a survey of Gahanna Branch customers and holding an initial design meeting in August 2019, CML is hosting a second meeting to share the proposed design with branch customers. CML CEO Patrick Losinski will be on hand, along with architects from NBBJ. This virtual meeting is free and open to all.

The Gahanna and Reynoldsburg building projects were paused for several months due to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. At its Dec. 3 meeting, CML’s Board of Trustees gave its approval for both projects to resume.

The Gahanna Branch was originally built in 1991. The plan is to demolish the current 21,400-square-foot building and construct a new 35,000-square-foot branch in the same space. CML plans to identify a temporary location for library operations to continue during construction. Groundbreaking is expected to take place in 2021 with a grand opening in 2022 or 2023. Turner is the construction manager at risk and NBBJ is the architect.
