LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Columbus has been open to the public for nearly a year and to celebrate its first birthday this month, it’s launching a week-long event for guests. The birthday-themed festivities will take place inside the attraction from Saturday, September 21 – Saturday, September 28, 2019 and will be included in the price of admission.

To celebrate the occasion in a big way, all guests who visit LEGOLAND Discovery Center Columbus between September 21-28 can enter for a chance to have their family immortalized as LEGO® minifigures in MINILAND Ohio. To enter, guests need to visit the Creative Workshop to put their name into the jar.

In addition, guests who have a birthday between September 21 – 28 can get in FREE that week with a valid form of identification with their birth date.

During this special week-long birthday event guests will also be able to:
• Take their photo with a six-foot-tall LEGO birthday cake built by the Master Model Builder
• Meet Bertie, Lloyd and friends during daily character appearances at 12 p.m., 2 p.m., and 4 p.m.
• Strike a pose in front of the 10-foot birthday wall with LEGOtastic photo booth props
• Check out the birthday takeover in MINILAND Ohio
• Only on Saturday, September 28, celebrate during a balloon drop at noon to commemorate the grand opening on September 28, 2018.

Additional promotions:
• Free birthday party package upgrade: Guests who purchase a Standard Birthday Party package between September 21 – September 28 (for a date between now and early 2020) will receive a FREE upgrade to a Premium Birthday Party package (the upgrade is valued at $150 and includes the addition of pizza and a special LEGO model build for all child attendees).
• Half-off annual pass renewals: Guests who renew their annual passes at any time during the month of September will receive 50 percent off.
• Special event for current Annual Passholders: A special event will be held exclusively for current Annual Passholders on Monday, September 23 from 4-8 p.m. AP members can enjoy all of the birthday festivities, plus a free slice of birthday to eat and a special collectible pop badge (on a first come, first serve basis). The attraction will close to the public at 4 p.m. on September 23 for this event.
