Joe Sacksteder and Michael Nye Reading

Joe Sacksteder will read stories from his debut collection, “Make/Shift,” winner of the 2017 Linda Bruckheimer Series in Kentucky Literature from Sarabande Books. The stories in this collection showcase a range of tones and techniques, from psychological narratives to highly experimental literary puzzles. His writing has appeared in Salt Hill, Ninth Letter, Denver Quarterly, The Rumpus, and elsewhere. He is the Managing Editor of Quarterly West and Director of Creative Writing at Interlochen Center for the Arts.

Michael Nye is the author of the story collection “Strategies Against Extinction” and the novel “All the Castles Burned.” His fiction and nonfiction have appeared in American Literary Review, Boulevard, Cincinnati Review, Epoch, Kenyon Review, The Millions, and LitHub, among many others. He lives with his family in Columbus, and is the editor of Story.
