Speakeasy Hot Jazz was cancelled on opening night last season due to COVID, so we’re bringing back the talented young trumpeter/vocalist Tony Glausi and he’s teaming up with the Jazz Arts Group All-Stars, an ensemble featuring some of your favorite CJO players, to explore the era that brought us “The Charleston,” flappers, bootleg liquor, G-Men, and red hot jazz.

About the series: Our Jazz at the Southern Theatre series showcases the work of the Jazz Arts Group’s flagship performance ensemble, the 16-piece Columbus Jazz Orchestra led by Artistic Director Byron Stripling, appearing with nationally-ranked performers and up and coming local jazz artists.
