Italian Village Tavern Tour

April 4, 2018 6:00 pm @ 6:00 pm - 9:30 pm

We begin our tour at 6pm at City Tavern, 697 N 4th St, Columbus, OH 43215, the former Wonder Bread Factory which retains its iconic sign. Free parking is available in the lot just south of the entrance off Lincoln. Arrive early if you wish to order dinner as time at each stop is limited. A few appetizers are included along the way, but drinks/dinner are your responsibility.

We’ll spice things up as we travel by shuttle to Cosecha Cocina, located in a rehabbed former dairy barn. Our next stop is the venerable St. James, a neighborhood tavern that has survived ups and downs since the 1930’s. Our final stop is Hoof Hearted Kitchen & Brewery, where old meets new, in a location that anchors redevelopment of the former Jeffrey Manufacturing Co. site.

As we wind through Italian Village you will learn about neighborhood traditions and see how former industrial areas are welcoming new residents.

We will return to City Tavern at approximately 9:30 The tour will be led by Becky Ellis & Chris Mannella, members of Columbus Landmarks Education Committee.
