Each viewing will be 20 minutes and allow for a maximum of 10 guests in the gallery at a time. Additionally, all guests will be required to wear face coverings.
After August 7, If you would like to view the exhibition in-person, 934 Gallery has open hours every Saturday from 12-3 p.m.

ABOUT HOLLY WILSON
Holly Wilson (b. 1992, Columbus, Ohio) is an American sculpture artist. She currently lives and works in Syracuse, NY, directing the local art gallery, Apostrophe’ S. Her artwork materializes identity in the form of deranged apparatus that aims to leak the innermost desires of society. By investigating the banality and exercise of routine life, her body of work infuses memory and perception within the discarded products she hoards. Holly has exhibited at Xposed Gallery on the Chelsea High Line in New York City. She has also participated in an artist residency at Sculpture Space in Utica, NY.

Objects are vehicles designed to inform the object-holder of accommodation of absolute personal identity. Possession of an object has the ability to instill a sense of power and euphoria. Possession can also leave one hungry for more—what is already owned is never enough. Holly’s discontinued objects come together to form obsessive units that are modified to enhance a person’s life, just as those objects are advertised in their individual, original form. The concept of work vs. leisure that originally surrounds each object has been eliminated from the space, bringing the objects together to form consistent, non-obligatory bliss. By working in an obsessive-compulsive, Holly wants the viewer to transcend past the pressure of attraction and reconnect with the reality that exists outside of an individual object.
