The Civilian Trauma Preparedness Program introduces civilians with little to no previous medical training on how to identify and treat life threatening traumatic injuries sustained from active shooter incidents, home accidents, and motor vehicle collisions.
Topics to be covered include:
-Massive hemorrhage recognition and treatment
-Chest wound management
-Current tourniquets on the market and their pros and cons
-Lifting and moving casualties
-Trauma Kit and IFAK selection and organization
Participants will also be able to purchase unique individual trauma kits designed and manufactured by ICC, allowing for every day carry of essential life saving gear.
Participants will receive a Bleeding Control Basics (B-Con) certificate upon course completion.
