    Healthy Living Festival Preview: Fitness, Fashion, Coffee & More

    There’s no one way to live a healthy lifestyle and that’s why Columbus Underground is bringing back the Healthy Living Festival for the third year! You can explore tons of local businesses focused on wellness, all in one place. This year, we’re getting out of the city and getting outside at Jorgensen Farms on July 22. Guests of the event will get to spend the day exploring the beautiful property, tasting local healthy fare, chatting with artists and makers, snapping countless photo ops and enjoying free outdoor fitness classes. We’re so excited about the line-up of 30 plus vendors, we can’t help but share! Check out a few of them below and what you can expect at the event.

    Bend Active is a locally-owned and inspired fit-fashion apparel brand. The name Bend is inspired by the Bamboo plant. The bamboo plant is flexible, strong, and resilient; it also bends with the wind, but doesn’t break. They encourage their customers to incorporate this concept into their daily lives! Bend strives to create a healthy community in Columbus by hosting events to bring people together, like Complimentary Workout Classes and Girls Nights Out. Guests will be able to check out their locally inspired apparel and learn more about their events!

    Balanced Yoga, together with its fund GIVE Yoga, encourages healthy living in Columbus by being of service to all — their classes and programs are designed to deepen connection to your body and awaken your soul. With two locations in Columbus, Clintonville and German Village, Balanced Yoga’s vibrant yoga schedule offers class opportunities from Power Vinyasa inspired by Baptiste Power Yoga, Ashtanga, Yin and Restorative, to Family and Youth Yoga. With more than 100 classes per week and a community of experienced instructors, Balanced Yoga is home for students of all levels. Balanced offers workshops, yoga teacher trainings, playful yoga events and retreats.     Bacca Coffee believes really good coffee is for everyone. Operating out of Columbus, Ohio, they carefully craft the freshest hand-made to order coffee. As a small batch coffee roasting company, they are invested in every step along the way, from selecting ethically-sourced beans to controlling the many variables in the roasting process. They also have the flexibility to offer a rotating variety of beans with distinct and exciting flavor profiles and believe that’s the beauty of small-batch roasting. Stop by their cart at the event to snag some samples of their freshly brewed cold brew!

    Mazah Mediterranean Eatery is a family run and operated restaurant located on Grandview Avenue. Their goal is to serve up fresh, delicious, and authentic Middle Eastern cuisine that is rooted from old family recipes passed down and taught in their grandma’s kitchen. Guests of the event will be able to try fresh Falafel, Kiosk-style, prepared on the spot in fresh pita with loads of fresh veggies, salads, house pickles and sauces.

    It’s All Natural offers a variety of 100 percent vegan and some gluten-free food products. They encourage everyone to explore a vegan lifestyle and to understand the benefits. Trying vegan has never been so easy and their store offers tons of unique products that give vegans a wide array of options. Interested in learning more about being a vegan? You’ll be able to try samples of vegan snacks and salads with It’s All Natural at the event!

    $15 General Admission Tickets are on sale now for two ticketed times 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. – 4 p.m. A very limited number of $20 Early Bird tickets are still left and will get guests into the event between 10 -11 a.m. and for the first session of the event, giving you an hour of extra time to explore.

    Jorgensen Farms is Central Ohio’s Premier Organic Farm & Event Venue and we are so excited to be working with them to make this Festival possible. All guests will have access to exclusive farm tours during the event. Members of their Gardening, Farming, Floral and Culinary staff will be on site to answer questions about the farm and their areas of expertise!

    A portion of the proceeds from all ticket sales will be donated to The Better Together Program at the Columbus Foundation. Columbus Underground Events have been raising funds for local charities since August 2014.
