GCAC Public Forum Virtual Brown Bag Lunch

October 1 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Join Arts Council President & CEO Tom Katzenmeyer and Board Chair Michael Bongiorno as they discuss how the Arts Council and the arts community have pivoted during the 2020 pandemic and protests. We are pleased to announce the addition of Columbus City Council Member Shayla Favor as a guest speaker. It’s a lunchtime event so feel free to enjoy your favorite carryout or brown bag goodies—and don’t worry, it’s a webinar format so we won’t be watching you eat on camera. Then we’ll invite you to join the conversation and share your ideas around how the arts can support community resiliency, social reform and a brighter future for us all. Your input will help us navigate the coming months and guide how we best serve Columbus artists, cultural organizations and the community.

RSVP by Sept. 28, 2020

Help guide the conversation during the Public Forum by indicating your preference of topics below:
To be resilient means to recover quickly from difficult situations. How can the arts play a role in making our community and our residents more resilient in the face of future economic, social and health challenges?

Art has the power to bring us together instead of divide us. How can the arts best serve the need for social reform and action?

The pandemic is changing how we experience art. Discuss hopes and dreams for our future interactions with the arts, one that explores both in real life and virtual opportunities in this new normal.
