Art lovers can tune into Virtual Gallery Hop on the @ShortNorthArtsDistrict Instagram on Feb. 6 at 1p.m

On Feb. 6, art lovers can enjoy Gallery Hop from the comfort of home with Virtual Gallery Hop. Starting at 1 p.m. on the @ShortNorthArtsDistrict Instagram, viewers can see the latest exhibitions and artwork from local galleries, catch performances by local musicians, and find special deals and promotions from local businesses. In February, Short North Arts District galleries will feature seven new exhibitions.

February art exhibitions and happenings include the 10th Annual Columbus College of Arts and Design juried show, “Young Hearts: The Color of Love”, at Sean Christopher Gallery Ohio; artist demonstration and exhibition “Into the Forest I Go” by Evangelia Phillippidis at Studios on High Gallery; Valentine’s Day-themed jewelry and art at Sherrie Gallerie; “A Look Back: Historic Works from BRG”, featuring work from Brandt Roberts Galleries’ exquisite collection of Swedish and Danish post-war modernist and impressionist artwork; real and abstracted geographical environments from Anne Cushman at Marcia Evans Gallery; Melodie Thompson’s second solo show at Sarah Gormley Gallery, “Of Field and Fallow”; and “Mixed Messages: Poster Collages” by Jeff Kallet at Sharon Weiss Gallery.

Hammond Harkins Galleries’ most popular annual exhibition, “Small & Wonderful”, will continue through mid-February, featuring the work of gallery artists including Jenny Holzer and two recent recipients of the Individual Excellence Awards from the Ohio Arts Council, Andrea Meyers and Karen Snouffer. “Women’s Work: Redress” also continues at (Not) Sheep Gallery.
Hours of operation vary by gallery, and select galleries offer private appointments and online showrooms.
