Crafting for Community: Service Projects Open House

October 3, 2018 5:30 pm @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

One event on October 3, 2018 12:00 am at 5:30 pm

Stop in the Ohio Craft Museum for a social evening of service. Help make fleece scarves for children in need, or cut plastic bags into “plarn” for plastic sleeping mats. Anyone who can use scissors or roll string into a ball is able to help! This is a drop-in event: stay for as little or as long as you like.

While you’re here, tour our exhibition, “Shelter: Crafting a Safe Home.” Register for door prizes and sign up for future volunteer opportunities. Spend a few minutes or more helping out and having fun.

Please bring plastic grocery bags to repurpose, plus toiletries of any size to donate to Faith Mission. We’re also collecting cold-weather items and bedding for central Ohioans in need. Bring fabric scissors if you have them.

This event is free but RSVPs are requested. To RSVP, visit https://bit.ly/2wqGow3 to sign up.

Funded by a Franklin County Neighborhood Arts grant.
