The Citizens’ Commission on Elected Official Compensation is holding its second meeting to study and recommend compensation levels for the mayor, members of city council, city attorney and auditor.
The Columbus City Charter mandates the Commission meet every four years. Its goal is to be an additional layer of citizen engagement and accountability to the process of setting future pay rates for elected officials in Columbus.
All interested citizens are invited to offer public testimony. Comments are limited to three minutes. Anyone wishing to address the Commission on this matter must fill out a speaker slip between 8am-10am on the day of the hearing at Columbus City Hall.
