Event Navigation

Columbus Science Pub

Thursday, November 1st, 7:30- 8:30pm at Backstage Bistro. What should you make for Thanksgiving dinner? Managing your family’s preferences at Thanksgiving can be hard enough, but factor in health impacts, environmental impacts, labor issues, and price, and planning a Thanksgiving dinner that pleases everyone can feel like an impossible feat! How are you going to manage these trade-offs, and how do you know which products are “best” to buy? These are the kinds of questions Dr. Zoë Plakias thinks about all year round, both in the grocery store as a consumer (which she describes as torture), and in her role as an agricultural economist at The Ohio State University.
