CMC: Trends That Will Shape US: Education

May 26 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

“Early childhood care and education (ECCE) is more than preparation for primary school. It aims at the holistic development of a child’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical needs in order to build a solid and broad foundation for lifelong learning and wellbeing. ECCE has the possibility to nurture caring, capable and responsible future citizens.”, according to UNESCO. Our panel will discuss what role a community plays in supporting its youngest neighbors to successfully make their way through education from infancy to adulthood.

Featuring Douglas Downey, Ph.D., Professor and Director of Undergraduate Studies, Department of Sociology, The Ohio State University and author of, “How Schools Really Matter” and Karen Garza, Ph.D., President and CEO, Battelle for Kids with host to be announced.
