April 17 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

  • Sumo

Book Trek is a program of the Museum of Biological Diversity and Orton Libraries. Come join members of the Museum of Biological diversity for coffee and to discuss a science book. On April 17th at 6:30 pm we will discuss the “Beak of the Finch” By Jonathan Weiner. First made famous by Darwin in the Origin of Species, Beak of the Finch follows two modern day researcher, Rosemary and Peter Grant, as they explore natural selection. Here is what The New York Times Book Review had to say “Admirable and much-needed . . . superb at explaining very complex scientific and philosophical concepts in lucid prose. . . . Weiner’s triumph is to reveal how evolution and science work, and to let them speak clearly for themselves.”
