Bexley March for Black Lives

July 25, 2020 11:00 am @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Systemic racism exists at every level of society, especially within the structures of a predominantly white city like Bexley. As hard as it is to accept, racism happens here. It’s time we take responsibility!

Please join us for a rally and march to call for Bexley to confront its role in upholding white supremacy and encourage residents to take action for Black liberation.

The march will begin at the corner of Drexel and Main St. in Bexley and proceed to Bexley High School and back.

Bring posters, friends, and masks! Refreshments will be provided.

As white people, we cannot dismantle white supremacy until we realize that we’re all part of the problem. Bexley’s call for more police funding, stricter zoning laws, and increasingly privatized services are thinly veiled attempts to exclude and criminalize black people.

Racial justice requires white people to strategically use their power and privilege to advocate for ALL Black lives.

Masks required! See you there!
