Sara Abou Rashed is one of the most exciting young voices in America. A MAP OF MYSELF: A 70-Minute, One-Woman Revolution on War, Immigration, Language, Home, History, DNA, and Everything in Between, written by and starring Sara Abou Rashed, and directed by me. Sara is 19-year-old Palestinian-Syrian-American who didn’t know a word of English on her first day of high school five years ago, and now has written and stars in a one-woman show about her life. The show mixes storytelling, acting, poetry in both English and Arabic—and will stick with you long after you leave the theater.
This will be our last performance in Columbus for a bit as we’re focusing on taking Map to other cities (and spreading The Columbus Way). As of today, a month out, we have about 30 tickets left for June 7.
