Belong Gaming Arenas is set to open its third and largest U.S.-based esports and gaming center in Polaris on Friday, Dec. 10.

The new gaming arena at 8735 Lyra Dr. in Polaris Towne Center will serve as a home to the Central Ohio gaming community for watching, playing and competing in their favorite game titles on top-of-the-line gaming equipment, as well as trying out for the city’s local esports team.

“Gaming and esports are a way for people to connect, and Belong creates an environment where these communities can come together and flourish,” said Martyn Gibbs, CEO of Belong Gaming Arenas. “Columbus has always had a passionate gaming community behind it and is home to our sister company Esports Engine. We can’t wait to provide a new home for gaming culture to continue growing in the Columbus area.”

The Arena will feature top-of-the-line gaming PCs, equipment and next-generation consoles, as well as several TVs and seating areas to accommodate community watch parties for esports tournaments and events.

Belong’s Polaris Arena will serve as the home field of the Polaris Pilots, the city’s amateur esports team, who will compete in organized tournaments, leagues and scrimmages against other teams across the Belong Arena network. Competitive programming will be provided by Columbus-based Esports Engine.

Belong’s Polaris Arena is its first location outside of Texas and its existing network of 27 locations in the United Kingdom. Additional U.S. arenas are set to open in Chicago, Nashville, and more in the coming months.
