The owner of Elevator Brewing has listed the brewery for sale, citing financial hardship related to the coronavirus shutdown. The business and all equipment is being sold collectively for $750,000.

Launched in 1999, Elevator is one of Central Ohio’s oldest breweries currently operating today, predating a wave of new beer businesses that have launched over the past 10 years.

Elevator was recognized in 2007 at the Great American Beer Festival with a Bronze Medal for its Dark Force Lager.

The 5,800 square foot brewery, located at 165 North Fourth Street, is a separate business from the Downtown restaurant located at 161 North High Street. The brewery includes the brewing and bottling operations as well as a taproom that is open to the public.
