Dublin Approves Plans for Eight-Story Bridge Park Hotel

Dublin City Council approved plans during last night’s public meeting for the development of a new eight-story hotel at Bridge Park, which we first unveiled in October. Council also approved three additional buildings in the same development, which include an events center, an office building and a parking garage.

The new hotel — along with the rest of the Bridge Park project — is being developed by Dublin-based Crawford Hoying, and will be branded as an AC Hotel by Marriott. The top floor of the building will feature a large indoor/outdoor bar and patio that will offer hotel guests a panoramic view of the new 12-acre riverside park being developed by the City of Dublin. The 19,000 square foot events center building will be operated by Cameron Mitchell Premier Events, the office building will be a six-story structure with 114,000 square feet of space, and the parking garage will accommodate 610-spaces, and will be lined with 2,500 square feet of outward-facing retail.

The four buildings represent a large portion of phase two of Bridge Park’s development, which is expected to be open in late spring of 2017, in time for the Memorial Tournament at Muirfield. The first phase of Bridge Park is under construction now, which includes three five-story mixed-use residential, office and retail buildings, and a 870-space parking garage. Phase one is slated for a Fall 2016 grand opening.

Once fully completed in 2018, Bridge Park and Bridge Park West will include over 30 acres of mixed-use development, totaling over 2.5 million square feet of built space, and representing a $300 million private investment in the heart of the City of Dublin.
