Easton Town Center has been selected by retail industry magazine Chain Store Age as the No. 1 Retail Center Experience in America for 2019.

Chain Store Age‘s editors picked the top 10 retail center experiences in the nation from reader nominations. The top 10 reflect shopping experiences that provide superior dining, viewing or congregating experiences to a large number of customers.

Yaromir Steiner of Steiner + Associates, which manages Easton, told the magazine “nervousness” is what makes Easton deserve its no. 1 ranking.

“We are in the middle of America, not in a sexy place, and we need to listen to our customers in a very humble and modest way to be relevant,” said Steiner. “But, right now, we are nervous. Yes, we are doing well, but we are always looking forward to see what we need to change, how we need to adjust.”

2019 has been a big year for Easton: As it celebrates 20 years in Columbus and Central Ohio, it continues its $500 million, 16-acre expansion featuring local and national retailers, restaurants, breweries, hotels and more.

L Brands chairman and CEO Les Wexner, who enlisted the help of The Georgetown Company and Steiner to help develop Easton Town Center, expressed gratitude to the magazine for the postive recognition.

“At Easton, we’re in a constant state of rethinking. Is what we’ve done working? What do we do next?” he said. “One thing, though, has remained a constant priority — an energizing customer experience. It’s gratifying to be recognized for getting that right.”
