Local food truck Dos Hermanos is making the jump into a full time brick-and-mortar space, landing inside The North Market this fall. The addition will see the return of Mexican cuisine to the Market, which has been missing since El Paraiso closed in 2009.

“This has been an area the market has been lacking,” said North Market Executive Director Rick Harrison Wolfe. “Dos Hermanos is the perfect choice to fill this cultural niche at the market, and they meet our criteria of being local, authentic, and best-in-class.”

Dos Hermanos is owned by local entrepreneurial husband-and-wife team Lisa and Vicente Gutierrez.

“As frequent market shoppers, my husband and I enjoy the upbeat and culturally diverse atmosphere, but felt there was a missing element, representation of Latin American fare,” said Lisa. “The very fact that the market fosters and supports new business is giving us the confidence we need to make the leap into a brick and mortar location.”

Dos Hermanos will be located in the currently vacant spot on the south end of the building, in between Brezel and Omega Artisan Baking. They are aiming for an October 1st opening date, which will return the Market to 100% vendor capacity.
