Richmond has a terrible Bus Rapid Transit line--poorly conceived and poorly executed. It is just enough for the politicians to cover their rear ends and say they are doing something about improving...
I second that. Buck McFate is afraid of ugly wires, etc.
It's a consistent pattern. Columbus is not and will not be serious about transit for some time. New leadership is needed and the SmartCity derailed any serious conversation about better mass transit....
Pehaps, just pehaps, our otherwise great city will finally wake up to the fact that high-density fixed guideway transit (streetcars, light rail and commuter rail) is the answer to our growing pains. I...
Well, considering I've seen some of the literature for this proposal, it was/is definitely more than that.
When I travel I also always plan where I'm staying based on proximity to rail transit. I'm not anti-bus, but I rarely use bus transit.
I've been to several cities with streetcars. In both Portland and Toronto I used their streetcars as my primary way of getting around. They are very practical.

I disagree. I travel all over the U.S. on business. I book my hotels on rail transit lines. If there are none, I take a taxi--NEVER the bus. Furthermore there is the well documented evidence of how...

Yeah, that sounds like rumors.
Amtrak? LOL! Writing this from Asia right now. Just been on the Shinkansen in Japan and the CRH bullet train between Beijing and Shanghai at 247 km/h (215 mph). Just put a bullet (pun intended) in...
Great project please come to Manatee County
Any advice or collaboration on our Mission would be helpful
Sadly, it's probably true. How can we change that?!
I've heard rumors (okay, more than that) that the city was, until recently, working with a planning group to develop the city's first rail system. The city invested money in the proposal and reached...
Let Lake Erie die..….makin' 'Murica grate.
I was wondering when something might go in here. Stellar location during Jackets games or pre-concerts.
