If there’s a reason to brave the cold temperatures this weekend, it’s Dinin’ and a Movie, a tradition updated by pairing together fresh, hip indie cinema with fresh, eclectic food truck fare.

This Saturday, February 16th, food truck hub Dinin’ Hall will host the inaugural event at their Franklinton location. A benefit for the nonprofit Franklinton Arts District, Dinin’ and a Movie will feature the film From Nothing, Something, an intriguing, and surprisingly funny  film about the nature of the creative process told from a variety of points of views that stretches across disciplines, genders, and cultures.

This film is an official pick of numerous film fests including the Heartland Film Festival and the Independent Film Festival of Boston, making it a perfect fit with the international fare that will be offered by Empanada Joe’s and Swoop! food trucks, along with great Scottish ale provided by Barley’s Brew Pub.

The festivities kick off at 6:30pm, with the premiere of From Nothing, Something at 8pm. Tickets are $6 and can be purchased at the Dinin’ Hall on Rich Street or at What the Rock?! boutique in the Short North.

Or if you’re feeling lucky, enter What the Rock?!’s Dinin’ and a Movie contest, where you can win a $10 Dinin’ Hall gift card and two tickets to the screening. Enter at www.whattherock.com.
