After three years in the Columbus market, Dewey’s Pizza is expanding again with a new location planned for 640 North High Street in downtown Worthington.
“Historic Worthington is a vibrant community that has a unique blend of new and old retailers that thrive on the family friendly experience,” says Eric Kohl, proprietor of the Columbus locations of the Cincinnati-based Dewey’s Pizza. “We always have liked entrenching our restaurants into pedestrian friendly neighborhoods with bustling businesses and a lot of civic pride. We feel our full service, family friendly restaurant with our modern industrial feel will fit nicely into Worthington’s beautiful downtown.”
Kohl states that the Grandview location on West Fifth Avenue has been a successful location for the chain and sees steady growth in the future with new development continuing at that area. The Worthington location will be familiar to fans in Grandview with a few changes to fit the new neighborhood.
“The Worthington location will be unique in that we are proposing an outdoor plaza that can be used by the community,” said Kohl. “We are excited with the opportunity to come to Worthington and become an intricate part of their community.”
There is currently no target opening date set as they are still going through the architectural review progress, though Kohl expects the have the store open sometime within the next few months.
