Destination Donuts Coming Soon to the North Market
Heather Morris has been hosting her Destination Donuts pop-up shop inside the North Market for the past two years, and in April she’ll be turning it into a full time affair. Her shop will move into the space recently vacated by Pure Imagination Chocolatier, across from Taste of Belgium.
“I’ve been a patron of the North Market for a long time leading back to when it was located in the Quonset hut,” said Morris. “I’ve always liked the diversity of the merchants, their colorful personalities and the family feel. I am happy I can call this my home.”
Destination Donuts have become quite popular in a relatively short amount of time with retail sales at multiple markets including Hills Downtown, and coffee shops like Luck Bros in Grandview Heights. Destination Donuts even took the crown as the Best Bite at Columbus Underground’s recent Sweet Treats showdown, collecting the most votes as the fan favorite of the night.
“Heather makes the best damn donuts in the USA and she is a wonderful person with a simply contagious personality,” said North Market Executive Director Rick Harrison Wolfe. “She is not only an award-winning best-in-class start-up who already has a great following in town, but she has been a part of the NoMa expanded family for years.”
