The project was first brought before the commission as an eight-story buildingĀ in January, although it was only presented conceptually, without any exterior details. The new design features exposed concrete, lots of glass and a second floor patio space.

The proposed building would hold 98 residential units over ground-floor commercial, with an 81-space surface parking lot that would be partially covered by the south wing of the building.

Jonathan Barnes Architecture and Design is the architect, while the developer is listed as AB Partners.

The proposal is one of several significant projects that will be heard by the commission tomorrow. Also on the docket is an update to the Motorists Insurance plan for land overlooking the Topiary Park, an updated proposal for 230 E. Long St., and the third review of a plan for a cluster of renovated and new buildings near the corner ofĀ North Third and East Long streets.

UPDATE: This project was unanimously approved by the DowntownĀ Commission at its June 26th meeting. Ā
